Friend Patton
Your favor of the 11th. inst.
came to hand -- hope you will excuse my
delay in answering and the style of writing
I am useing.
I was truly glad to hear from you and
to learn that you arrived home all right.
also glad to know that you have a good
show for a large class in penmanship -- hope
by this time you are coining money teaching
All is moveing along as usual in
the hall--students coming and students going
I have as much work as ever -- can scarcely
breath. Prof M-- left today for Washington
to attend the inauguration -- will be gone
for one week and I will have to do all the
teaching -- wish you were here to help.
