Louisa Barton, Mortgage, front, 1839
Louisa Barton shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid
to the said William Easly his heirs or assigns, on demand, the afore
sum of four hundred dollars together with all lawful interest
which may have accrued theron, in the lawful currency of the
said United States of the North, then this conveyance to be null &
of no effect, and the said land shall remain the property
of the said Louisa Barton and of the said heirs as fully & completely
as if this instrument had not been executed & given by her to the
said William Easly, otherwise the rights of the Easly under the same
are to remain in the full force and virtue.
In testimony whereof the said Louisa Barton hath
hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal at the
City of Austin in said Republic this twenty ninth
day, of November A.D. 1839.
