east of Connecticut River, for and during
the aforesaid term of fourteen years.

In case any alterations in said Institute
should be judged necessary, by the contracting
parties, said Webster covenants to make them
free of expense; but the consent of both
parties shall be necessary to such alterations
unless they respect merely the correction and
embellishment of the work.

And it is hereby agreed by the contracting
parties, that whenever three fourths
of the proprietors of said Institute shall agree
upon wholesale and retail prices for said
Institute, and shall give notice in writing
of said prices to any other proprietor of said
books; then such other proprietor shall be bound
to adhere to said prices in all future sales
of said Institute. And said Webster engages
to make this or a similar article a part of every
contract he may hereafter make with any person
or persons for copyright of said Institute, and to
adhere to it himself, in all sales he may make
after receiving information of established prices
as above.

And that said Thomas & Andrews
hereby covenant and bind themselves to
deliver to the School Committee of the Town of
Boston, or their Order, annually, on or before
the first day of January of every year of
the aforesaid terms, twelve copies of the Third Part
of said Institute, neatly bound and gilt, free of all
changes whatsoever.

In testimony whereof we have interchangeably
set our hands and seals, this fifth day
of October, 1790
