Martha Jay Galajikian, Letter 1 This cap was made in 1810 by Sarah Griffith wife of Samuel Jay. They were married April 1810. She died December 1810. He married her sister Martha (widow of Col. Alex L. Smith) Samuel and Martha had one son John. He married Mary Elizabeth Gould Davis. They had seven children. Alice Wary. Samuel Smith. John Gouldsmith. Septimius Davis. Henry Davis. Edward Griffith and Agnes Susan. Samuel married Annie Davis. They had three children. Alice Wary. Henrietta Davis and Martha Davis who married Haig Galajikian January 20, 1923. They had two children Nan Jay and Haig. All the underscored ones wore this cap when baptized. Haig was two years old so I pinned it to his shirt.
