ADVICE
Learn to contemn all Praise betimes
For Flatt'ry is the Nurse of Crimes
Seek you to train your fav'rite boy?
Each caution ev'ry care employ,
And e're you venture to confide,
Let his preceptor's heart be try'd;
Weigh well his manner's life and scope,
On these depend thy future hope.
With early Virtue plant thy Breast
The specious Arts of Vice detest
